Hi all,
Just thought I would let you know that it is time to pick goldenrod, milkweed pods for crafts, jewelweed, blue vervain late blueberries, elderberries, and early apples.
I'll be out picking and drying. I pressed Cider and made dill pickle green beans at Brushwood this past weekend. It was lots of fun, but it's good to be home.
What if anything are you doing to celebrate the first harvest? I'm having Mabon Ritual here on the 24th if anyone is interested.
Happy herb gathering. Dawna

Re: Herb Gathering
Fri, March 10, 2006 - 6:18 AMi have another question..... how can we store aloe. my aloe is getting huge & i was wondering if i could harvest some of it, but is it possible to do so w/o it drying up? also some of the older parts have gone a bit yellow - is it still ok to use them or should they be pruned & returned to mother earth?
